Why do you need a bigger CCA battery? What is the problem you're having?

Running stereo with car off - Requires higher AH (amp / hour) output
I don't even know how a higher CCA battery would help at all... When the car is running the alternator is providing the power, not the battery. High CCA just helps start the car by being able to discharge current easier.

Ok sorry i don't know much about all this power stuff i just know about the stezza gear. The prob i have is that with it turned down i run on 13.8v to 14.2 but when i turn it up it goes down to 12 and i have seen it as low as 9, this is with the car running but as soon as i turn it down it goes straight back up to 13.8v. So what do u think i need to do?? a bigger cap or can i just add a nother 3 farad to help even my boot up.

    JBL GTO 755.6(series 2) 6 CH amp running in 4X60WRMS, 1X300WRMS Bridged
    4 rather non descript 55WMS / 220 W Max (yeh right) for like 20 bux a pair
one 15" sony sub (1000W peak / 250WRMS) mounted in the drop down of the rear seat.... i bought the box, and squeezed it in there.... never had a prebox setup work so damn well..... i'll get a picture up when i can!

Mods, add the CD-IB100 (Ipod interface) so i can just plug that in a hidden part of the car (under a panel) and not have to worry about carrying cd's.... and nothings visible to the theives either! Seeing as my last HU's face was stolen when i was broken into.... lucky they didnt take anything else like the whole HU, amps.... but they did take my ipod..... so i'll be hiding the next one.....(i dont get new music often)

ukie vy 1 "S" 5 Speed... That is happening because the stereo is drawing more power than the alternator can provide. If you already have 3F of caps, i'm not sure than anymore are going to help you.

Where do you see the voltage display? In the boot or at the battery? If you have a multimeter measure it at the battery with the car running and see if the voltage drop is as big there. If not, you're getting a drop over your power cable. If it drops the same, then you probably need a higher output alternator.

You can get your current one rewound to output higher current, you could try to find an ex cop car one, i've heard of people making custom mounting brackets to fit ambulance ones, and I think Bosch make a pretty universal aftermarket one.

I have no idea what sizes they come in... I have a VT Berlina which has an 85A alt, i think, and I get dimming running a 2400Wrms amp, and two 400Wrms amps, but nothing major. I think cop ones are about 120A.

A decent audio place will tell you to get rid of one of those subs... Running two different size subs is not a good idea, it actually makes it sound worse, rather than better.
