After moving the vl onto my brother something has been missing inside and my desire to build a slammin minitruck (and wear a flat brim hat) keeps urging back into my pea size brain.
I spotted this on the weekend for sale (dirt cheap). Has no motor or box which means less crap for me to sell later , but has everything else i need inc a mexican bench seat , tidy interior and a incredibly straight body.
So plans are to pick up a 4link and notch kit for the rear end, Smooth engine bay ,an rb or ecotec conversion, tubbed front and rear , wear flano's and drink beer with the boys and some cool wheels of some sort.

Enjoy guys I know I will.

It's a Mazda bravo by the way. I'm after a wellback body for it if anybody knows of one , any condition will do.

So things are moving along pretty quick. Bought a vn spac of a mate tonight for a reasonable price . So the motor will now be a Buick v6 and auto box. Should be a bit of fun in the light ute. Any ideas for engine/gearbox mods would be great. Never really and anything to do with v6's before.
Will also be parting out the vn so anyone needs parts PM me.

i'd go a 5 speed aswell mate, would be worth it. imo there isnt a lot of cheap mods you can do to get the buick moving a bit quicker.

Never had an auto I'll give it a crack first and see how it goes. always wanted a stalled auto with a ratchet shifter . If I get bored then I'll whack a 5spd in it.

It will all be done in The shed at home. Going to prob port match the heads whack an sc14 blower and a cam in it. It won't be a hp hero (already got something silly) but in the light ute should be great fun

Good weekend of progress got the motor, wiring , gearbox and linkages out of the vp and slotted it in the ute. With the money I've made off the vp when it goes to it's new home tomorrow I'll be ordering the 4 link and chassis notch kit this week. Also decided wheel wise the 6 stud is useless for choice so going to whack the spare vl turbo diff in it that's in the shed.

Wouldn't mind a turbo but already building a car with one of those so I'll give the charger a crack. The truck is basically the opposite of how I usually do everything. V6, auto , built to cruise (not fast round corners).
I'm loving it , I can do whatever I want and I plan to :)

Got rid of the vp last night so it's full steam ahead on the truck now. Cutting the front tubs out this week to fab up bigger ones and ordered the notch /4 link kit thismorning.

Mounts were exactly the same. I just moved them back on the chassis by 70mm. Will take some pics when I go work on it next.
