Yeah this is costing me $220 includes blasting, priming and then powder coating. I did all the badges on my ute yesterday i will try and get some photos posted ASAP! I have heard powdercoating is the way to go as there is a solid 2 pac coating on there which will prevent cracks etc.. Its cheaper than getting them painted i got quoted $1200 to get them painted and the results are pretty much the same.

If your thinking of getting new rims then just change the colour of them for $220! It changes the whole appearence of the car!

nice one thanks, in melbourne presently and got a quote for $40 for 19" wheel, will be more if painted and needs blasting but that farking good, i want mine gun metal grey and 160 is better than buying new mags plus ute only has 600km's on tyres so its a cost effective choice!

Gun metal will be sexy with the green - black would be too much. $60 a wheel is good.

Love the Colour! Have you got any more pics? Do you happen to know what the colour code is?

I have Genuine 20" HSV GTS Rims (Painted Black) on my baby, I got them on the last car I bought before this one. Got it for a steal especially as it included these rims ;)

Anyway the guy I got them off must have been a useless driver as there is some pretty heavy damage on 3 out of 4 of them. Plus the paint is starting to peel.

I had my car in at Holden and found out that they Sub-Contract a painter. So I had him check out my rims. From memory I'm pretty sure I was quoted roughly $150 (could be wrong on this as i have a shocking memory) per rim for them to be stripped, fully repaired and re-painted.

Now I haven’t really looked around but this sounds like a decent price. What do you guys think?

Also, did any of you get your Brake Calipers painted at the same time?
Or know anything about having them painted? Cost, best paint to use etc…

    Thanks
