I have a VR Berlina which I am reinstalling the interior.
While putting the console in I can not find the wiring harness to the up/down switches for the aerial, I can not remember if they were even there to start with.
It is a genuine Berlina so can you tell blind Freddy here what they look like or where they are or did Holden install the switches in the console as a joke with no wiring???

The radio surround could have been changed!

Heres what the plug looks like. Wont be blue (thats for non climate air con), they'll be white or green (Probably green)

^ thanx for the pic, nothing there like that.
Only wiring there is for the climate control and the power windows. (all the rest ate shifter, lights and cig lighter etc).
Nothing has been changed, even has stock H/U but looks like the previous owner had a different one fitted at some stage.
Where is the control box located so I can trace them back?

They wont be under the console, they will be resting ontop of the section under the radio.
You will need to remove the radio surround before they can be seen!

When the console is out, its only 3 screws at the bottom, and then it just pulls out (the clips will come out by themselves)

Whats switches are you talking about? Your talking about these right?

Yeah were on the same page. You said console, so i thought you ment you were looking where the power window looms and cig lighter are.

Not sure if they should be there, both my VPs have them standard!

I had a VR Berlina a few years back and can't remember where the switches were. Were they incorporated in the tape deck?

there should be two plugs there, in my car one is black and one is blue from memory, and they only fit in one spot, so you cant get them wrong.

Have you had a good dig around in there? someone may have chopped them off and left the wires tapped up or cable tied them in a nice hidden spot, failing that get ahold of some wiring diagrams and start the oh so fun task of tracing them, from memory the wires should go towards the passenger side kick panel and then out the firewall and to the arial itself.

In the pic i posted above, they would go where the 3 switches are next to the ABS/IRS badge (one of the 3 would be the light for the immobiliser)

Had a pretty good look, Ive had all the interior out bar the crash pad and there is nothing like chopped wires or any connectors that resemble anything that something thay would fit the switches.
Mine is as above, has two switches, one up and one down, next to the abs/irs decal.

HAHAHA, well the joke is on me, there is a sectioned piece of harness about 3inches long which was still clipped into the back of the stock H/U.
It was sitting right infront of me on the table the whole time, hiding under the tape deck.
