Is there any power gains to be made by converting VN 5ltr from EFI to carby???

Explain how?

EFI is a far more advanced system, and gets way better power and fuel economy. Unless you plan on building a sub 9 second engine or dedicated strip/track car, I would be sticking to EFI.

my mate has a 5 litre 304 and we were just messing around for powercruise and we put a harrop high rise and demon double pumper and it picked up heaps more RWHP so he left it on like tom said you lose some good points but also pick up a lot too its 6 of one and half a dozen of another mate i guess personal choice

Also running a carb on an EFI street is not legal for road use.

whatever the carby can do the efi can do just as well if not better just need to tweak the right settings in the tune.

no doubt efi will make the same power if not more and more reliably!'

just that you have to get it tuned by someone you cant just jet it up like a carby..

spend some money on a good tune much better off and safer for the motor

Well i just bought a memcal of greenfoam the other nite so we'll c wat happens, but yea i just like the thought of havin a bug catcher slightly poking out the bonnet :yeah:
