Hi I have just bought a VY Berlina with a Vy calais interior. It has the 8 way power drivers seat. The seat back rest forward and back function does not work have been told it used to work fine. the memory function doesn't work either (not sure if it ever did) The rest of the functions are fine. What is the likely cause? How easy or hard is it to fix at home? Cheers
If they did indeed work before you bought the car maybe disconnecting the battery for a minute or so allowing the system to reset might get it going again. Like most things in the interior of VY/VZ's the BCM controls most functions so you may need the Calais BCM also. From memory the VY Berlina only has seat base front and rear tilt on electric, does the plug from the body wiring have all the wires feeding it to match those from the seat motors.
