So had new k frame put in it passed inspecction but pit inspecror pointed out there is a cooling line coming from behind the exhaust manifold to the radiator connecting up with rubber hose and mechanic has put it over the sway bar instead of under wich is causing hose to rub on radiator shroud pretty sure its a power steer ing line because i undid it and it emptied out the steering resevoir...does anyone know the easiest way to get this steel line under the sway bar cant see where it bolts up under manifold or goes to trans if you can even do it that way

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
Goes over the sway bar.
No variant has it going under, left or right hand drive.

In the V6, you can see how the hose connection points upward and is bent to clear the sway bar.

In the V8, a hard line is mounted above the swaybar.

assuming you have a V6, the rubber may have gotten brittle in the past and had a few cm trimmed off the line to refit it, causing it to rub on the swaybar.
Maybe see if you can find an aftermarket trans cooler (or similar) at a wrecker and fit up a new hose line to it? Would do a way better job.

In the left hand picture it looks to go under and has a tab that bolts to the frame theres no way it will bolt to the k frame without going under sway bar

just went out and looked at my car and that hose does go under the sway bar and it goes to the power steering.
the best way i can think of would be to undo the hose at the power steering rack and undo that clamp then fit it into the correct place.DSCN0337.JPG

@ant797
Not being critical, but maybe correct the heading of the thread in case another member is searching for the same information in the future. ;)
