    Hey, everyone.

I was driving my VS out and for some unholy reason I ran out of PS fluid (despite my car being serviced 3 months ago).

Anyway, can someone tell me how to put more in, I have the right fluid, i just need to put it in so i can go to work, or else i'll be late.

    Thanks!

theres a small black box with a twist lid on it on the front left hand corner of the engine (looking from the front bumper) it says pwoer steering fluid on top. open cap, pour in a little at a time and check the level using the guide on the cap.

A VS has a white box attached to the fan shroud near the radiator. The previous post has described a VR.

    If it is just groaning?

90% of groans are the grommet that the steering gear goes through from the cabin to the engine bay. it may just need some WD40 or did you find it all on the floow one morning?

in short however, the fluid goes in the same place you check the fluid level, take the cap off of the reseviour it is a clear/white box with a black lid located on the drivers side of the vehicle and is mounted to the thermo fan covering.

Pour some in untill you reach the full cold mark (marks visible on engine side of the reseviour) start the engine and allow to idle, give a few small revs then add as needed to reach full.

Drive the car aorund the block, stop the car and remove the lid, allow to sit for a few minutes, then add fluid as needed, rinse and repeat, proper bleeding instructions are in the Haynes manual, I suggest you get one.

I would like to point out this person never said they didnt know where to check, just where to add, allot of people don't know how to top up a trans either, it's not a sin.
