Hello Ive never changed a power steering pump on a L98 before and the research videos I have watched contradict themselves, so do I need to remove the pulley before I can install it and is there a bracket the pump sits in on the front of the block? I will appreciate any advice from anyone that has experience with this.
Thank you.

take the belt off so u can turn the pulley and u will see two bolts going thru the pump, those hold it to the bracket on the side of the head, it should then squeeze out if the hoses are off, if it wont come out on engine may have to remove with bracket 3 bolts to the head two at front and second on the side above alternator, then once removed with bracket can then be taken out of bracket and replaced, just reverse each way getting back in
