I got an alloy PS reservoir and am a bit on the fence with it. So keen on feedback and advice from those who have fitted one. Have I got a bunky one?

I have moved the factory one aside for now. The alloy one doesn’t fit too well, is that normal? Drops down onto the pulley. Will it sit up with the hoses fitted? Might have to make a plate under it?

Thoughts on Teflon tape on those fittings? Not tapered. They have the o-ring, not sure I should trust it.

Do these squash up the wiring harness for others? Not keen having the harness against the reservoir.

Do some aftermarket ones have a dipstick on the lid? Or do we just peak in sort of?

It’s a bit loose in the slot. (That’s what she said) Doesn’t sit well in the clip

Personally I don't like how close it sits to the pulley. If you were to put a plate under it, I still suspect the plate it will hit the pulley....

Leave you make the call

ive got one on mine but i remote mounted it to get it away from the engine heat and neaten up the look, the mounting isnt the best as the alloy does have some play compared to the stock metal mount

I've got one like that, aside it fits.... Works great, looks great. It slotted in like it belonged there, I just had to bend the tab a little further. It's well clear of the pulley, couldn't hit if it tried, I think you've got a Friday arvo job there

What did you pay, if you don’t mind me asking, and where from?

I’ve paid $60 for this one. New factory one, $150!

The factory reserviors have baffles and a very fine mesh filter inside.
