Power steering resivour

    Mate just drained my power steering resivour (god knows why) and pulled top and bottom hose off, when refilled im worried it now has an air pocket, how can i tell, and how can i get rid of it?

    Jack the front 2 wheels up off the ground and put it on axle stands, start the car and turn the steering wheel left and right to full lock a couple of times.

    Turn the steering side to side with the engine off, helps if you jack the front off the ground. When the resivour wont take anymore fluid. start the car and turn the steering lock to lock again.

    EDIT: ah someone beat me, Anyways pays to do it with the engine off first so the fluid doesnt foam as much :)

    it self bleeds, it continually pumps so any air in the system will soon be pushed out by the fluid.

    Watch out for leaks from under the reservoir where the hoses join - the hoses go hard with age and sometimes will leak.
