Hey guys, just replaced my power steering rack after it broke, had to drive the car for about 5 minutes without power steering. now it’s replaced my power steering is really heavy, gets stuck when turning right and sort of sounds/feels like it’s getting caught on something. pump isn’t whining or anything though. any ideas as to what the issue is?

Have you bled the power steering fluid?

What do you mean, your power steering rack broke?

Might help start the diagnosis

They normally break when they are forcibly spun hard from lock to lock, doing Skids and/or Donunts.
And ALSO stuffs the PS Pump up,
Did the fluid have iron filings in it ?,
That would account for the Rack to fail.

Did you flush the PS Pump and PS lines when you replaced the Rack ?
If not, the Rack will Break again soon.
