hey guys i'm really not knowledgable in car audio at all so i was curious about something.
im heading in to get my system done soon, consisting of double subs, amp, all door speakers, head unit, the works.
now on my stock battery alone i'm assuming this will take a lot of 'juice'.
i've heard that you can get a second battery run through the system to combat this, but not sure about the whole process, anybody got any tips/advice? or should the guy installing it know what he's doing? haha cheers

The guy installing it will know what he's doing but without specs of the amps we cant really help you much.

your factory battery should be fine make sure you have good earth from your battery to chassis and amp to chassis. And run the right wire size.
I am running a pioneer 760 watt amp for my front splits and a pioneer 800w mono block.
theres no problem, I also am running 100w globes in my fog lights.
If your really concerned try a bigger battery in the front

Yeah I actually havent changed the battery since I got the car and it's been through two flats, so I may replace it with a larger battery before I get the work done

for 2 batts, run the negatives together then the 2 powers together with a relay in between to stop ur batt from dying

Some fusing wouldn't go astray either and you need a HIGH current relay, none of this 30A standard automotive relay.

two 12 inch subs 1300 watts each
monoblock amp for subs
6" splits
6" coaxials
650 watt 4 channel amp
headunit with touchscreen/dvd
Unfortunately, you've told us nothing. Those power ratings aren't real. We need model numbers to see the RMS/continuous power ratings or the fuse value on the amps.

A system that small will not require a second battery anyway.
