    Hi guys, merry christmas.

I have replaced the pwr window reg in my Vs statey, the problem is, when i fitted the glass, the window [front] is not in the rubber seal.
Instead, it is between the rubber & the guide.

Will i need to remove the whole lot again, or can i just remove the slide & put the window back in the groove?

    Cheers, Col.

    merry Christmas too you too....

i think you will need to monover the glass in the door to get it back in to the slide. you can just loosen off the regulator but this requires new pop rivets or pop the slide out of the window, but other way the window need to be moved the slides do not move, well not very far anyways.....

You shouldn't need to touch the regulator. Just make sure the window is in the lowest vertical position before you manouvre it into the correct position in the tracks. It's a dirty, dirty job.

There is a 10mm bolt at the bottom of the slide.
It holds the slide to the door.

When i remove it, there is about 3mm play in the slide.
I think the rubber is holding the slide in.

Without pulling the door apart again, [i will have to, i know], do you think this will be enough movement to get the window back in to the groove?

I am trying to not have to re-rivet the bloody thing again!

    Cheers, Col.
