Hi ,

Does anyone know what the box patten be for a powerglide to a Ls1?

would it be a Holden V8 patten?
or
A Chevy v8 patten?

I need to know off someone who done the box swap before.

cheers

Powerglides had separate bell housings, so they could have both Holden or Chev bolt patterns depending on what they were originally fitted to.

6 cylinder cases are 2 piece, V8 cases 1 piece I'm pretty sure.

From what I have heard you need a bell housing with a turbo pattern. I think any gm trans with a turbo pattern will bolt up to an LS1. Your best bet would be to ring a trans place and ask them they should be able to tell you straight away.
