I run a lot of items from 12v outlet in my car.
My centre console is a tangled mess of power splitters and cables.
I run these items most of the time.
GPS Unit.
Dashcam
Scanner
Scanner Remote Head
Phone Charger
4G Wireless Hotspot.

Just wondering if there is a better neater way to power these items, and maybe give me back my centre console.
The Cigarette lighter plugs are pretty bulky.

Problem with doing that, is that the plugs generally have circuit boards converting down to 5v and such.

Fit power sockets behind the dash. Run the wires down into the dash, and connect.

Works great for things like GPS, dash cam etc, that you may want to pull out every now and again.
