Need to find the measurement first as I can't remember what it is and then find a way of measuring it or guestimate it....

Have you fitted it correctly with both sets of blades passing between the sensors?

I beleive so
Just went out and pulled the plug off the dfi, put it back on then hit the key *hotwired because the ignition locked up on me* and it kicked one then just continued to crank with no life

I replaced the CAS and the issue didnt go away
I have also read that corrosion gets on the DFI pins and that can cause the problem... not happening inmy case

Alsohas an MSD ignition system

Is the CAS underneath the harmonic balancer like it is on later Buick engines? Also setting the gap is not hard and you don't need feeler gauges, if the CAS is in the same spot as VR Buick.

Same spot, slightly different looking sensor but I thought you had to pull the balancer off to fit a new sensor?
