TBH, Trump is correct, China has manipulated world markets for it's own gain for a long time but the ramifications of an all out trade war between the US and China is just plain scary when you take into consideration China's behaviour in the South China Sea and it's geopolitical ambitions which grow larger by the day.

My predictions for stuff that really matters, forget Trump, WW3, global economy, SSM, climate change and other ho-hum stuff.

Motoring.
Ford will wonder why they can’t sell anything other than Rangers.
Holden will wonder why they can’t sell anything.
Toyota will not notice either of the above companies.
Another year will go by without me buying a Mahindra, Great Wall, or Proton.

Free to air TV.
More (un)reality shows that cost nothing to produce, and make celebrities of very ordinary nobodys, for a week.
Somebody will die/get murdered/get married/get pregnant on Neighbours who are Home and Away.

Sport.
The NRL Knights will hand over the wooden spoon, finally.
Steve Smith will score another century.
A controversial tennis player retires, and takes up boxing.

The weather.
There will be many days in Melbourne that will be fine and sunny, with cloudy periods and a chance of rain depending on if it is hot or cold or windy, and SE Qld will have a cyclone, probably during the entire time of The Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

....then in early 2019 there will be lackluster public interest in the new royal baby, with the royal family's popularity plummeting to just 1.2% of the population (after the global economy implodes again), as the truth and realization becomes clearer in our human consciousness that the English royals are not 'special' human beings but that they exist on a legacy of theft, terrorism and conquests of power, and so, a new dawn of humanity begins....
