Even with low kms?
You can buy a good one for under $2k. Factor in over $1500 for a smallish repair, makes $1000 for one with damage pushing it. If its repairable write off, forget it. Way to hard to have it passed and could end up losing out big time.

The motor and box are fine they drive well I would think that even if I was to sell the motor and box seperate I would think that they would be worth at least $1000 without the rest of the car

If you own then see what you can get. If you want $2k advertise it for that and see. I thought you might have been buying one. Post a photo of the damage as that will gives us an idea of what the damage would cost to repair. I have a smallish dent in my ute in the rear tub side and it $800 to have it repaired and my ute is White that being the cheapest colour to paint. The dent is hardly noticeable in a photo and yet its the price it is. Parting out a car tends to fetch you more money over a time than trying to flog a damaged vehicle. At auction it would be lucky to pull $500, like I said probably $300.
