Price of a 2004 VY Acclaim

I am looking at buying a 2004 VY Acclaim with one year left on new car warranty and 3 year or 175000 extended warranty. It has 68000km on clock and is being sold by a holden dealer for $ 21,500.
With the new VE coming out do you think prices on used cars will drop i.e. VY and VZ's.
Anyone any idea is this price on the money.......

That is somewhat dear in my opinion... Have you tried the government auctions? I bought my VYII Acclaim there 13 months ago. 31,000km, mint condition for $21,600.

2004 VY Series II Executive
Sounds a little expensive.

I also picked mine up from ex-goverment auctions. My 2004 VY Series II Executive, 55000kms, mint condition, 12 months rego for $14800 - bout 4-5 grand cheaper than in the yards. :)

Watch those "extended warranties" - they are usually tied to requiring service @ the dealer. Turns out to be much more expensive in the long run.

Yeah, I also heard that they only extend to the original purchasee of the car. It is void when the vehicle is sold - don't quote me though.

VY Exec 3.8L Sedan 9C1 Pack
dittio, heard the same thing...

yeah, dude, these days you should be getting 2005 plate VZ for that price...

In 08/2005 - I paid $20k for my 2003 VY Exec, with 75Klms, 18" wheels, power optioned (windows, cruise, a/c, mirrors, seat etc) and extra stuff on police pack, LSD and FE@ suspension...

I got mine from a holden dealer and have balance of factory waranty and the holden 3 year 175K km waranty and it has a fixed service of $190 every 6 months or 10K km after factory runs out, but yeah that sounds a bit pricey for the car mentioned,
