My weekly petrol bill is about $130-$140. I drive about 320km - 350km per week.

No brainer then. Only problem would be your cam as you can’t have high overlap with LPG.

If I was going to spend $6k or more on an LPG installation, I probably just spend a little more and opt for this

Dunno what your fuel usage is in litres per hundred but if it was 15L/100kms on LPG you’d only be spending about $70 a week in LPG at $1.30 a litre.

Yearly saving would be $2880 not deducting the extra distance you’d have to travel to get the LPG as I don’t know what distance that is.

In petrol probably $7 to go to Kings Meadows from Town and back. I use about 17-18lph in 98.

I went down that route before. Had a couple of bikes over the years for the daily commute. Having to stop a couple of times to help fellow motorbike riders who had come off their bikes turned me off doing it anymore. Too many idiots on the road looking to wipe you out.

Yeah I've been riding bikes for over 30 years. The only reason I don't have road bike now is finances. I could use some of the redraw and buy one but I don't want to spend the money with the way interest rates are going to end up by the end of the year. With another 2.5% increase expected by Christmas.
Other option is I sell my RD for $8k and buy a Triumph Daytona. But I have had the RD for 31 years and even though I struggle to ride it now because of the clutch being too stiff for my four finger hand, I'm still not willing to part with it....... Not in this lifetime anyway, the wife knows that too. So it sits under a blanket in the shed with the pipes taped up to stop the bores rusting.

did ur tuner leave DFCO enabled ? if u watch ur instant fuel usage it should go close to zero when decelerating after a few seconds if it is, if not then ur killing fuel usage

So Thought I'd better fill up now I've been paid, hoping to get in before the price hike. 98 now $2.33 per litre. Apparently went up yesterday :( :( :( 98 near work $2.38. Girl behind the counter has been told to expect $3 per litre by Christmas, for 91, with 98 being an extra 16cpl on top of that.
I'd hate to think what NZ will be paying if we hit $3 a litre here...... Time to think about planting corn.....
Beat you Losh, $2.459 to $2.479 for U98 at my nearest servos -
Wait till the full excise tax goes back on.
However, I did a $1.977 fuel lock through 7/11 tonight, after dropping my offspring off to work at Chatswood. Seems a servo at West Ryde was near enough and was doing an old price before the latest price jack.
That's the best thing that happened all week - 50 litre fill up will reduce the cost by almost $20. Chicken dinner.

Now let's see if the lights stay on tonight.
But that's another jacked up energy story....
