Beat you Losh, $2.459 to $2.479 for U98 at my nearest servos -
Wait till the full excise tax goes back on.
However, I did a $1.977 fuel lock through 7/11 tonight, after dropping my offspring off to work at Chatswood. Seems a servo at West Ryde was near enough and was doing an old price before the latest price jack.
That's the best thing that happened all week - 50 litre fill up will reduce the cost by almost $20. Chicken dinner.

Now let's see if the lights stay on tonight.
But that's another jacked up energy story....
....and "saved" $21 today filling up at Mona Vale with 53.6 litres. Waited till the car was as empty as I dared to "save" another dollar.
Only spent $108 at 7/11.
Winning?

98 has hit $2.64 today. I heard on the radio news it had gone up. It now just needs to increase by 2cpl and it will be equal to what it was at it's peak. The predictions of unleaded at $3 a litre before Christmas are looking more and more likely now.

Hey @immortality has it hit $3 in NZ yet?

Hit? we have blown past NZ$3 like it was nothing.

Servo down the road is NZ$3.59 for 98 and my last fill was NZ$3.336 for E10 98

Basically the only thing at the servo under NZ$3 is diesel or a ice block in the shop.

Locally for 91 is 239.9 P/L.....

I put 95 in the VC just before it went up last week and that was 2.12.9 P/L.....

Diesel is 233.9 P/L...So unusual diesel is cheaper than 91

I've budgeted $250 for my fortnights fuel from my next pay. Looking like I need to allow an extra $20-$30.

Fark I hope not.

Right now, I get the feeling the servo's don't seem to want to go past about NZ$3.60 for 98, a couple have gone past but seem to come back. Maybe that is the point people are not buying?

I was going to ask if anyone knew the answer to the excise amount. I didn't know it was 22cpl. Thing is there will be massive pressure to keep it as is now, come September. But from what I've heard the chances of it staying as is are none and bucklies.......

The government has said the rebate will not go beyond September meaning it will revert back to 44 cpl for petrol and diesel and 7.2 cpl for auto lpg.
