erm had a little 'incident' in the VN this morning. I now need bumper, healight, grill, & bumper support & aswell as SS lip.

So will this cheaper to replace myself or should I cough up my excess?? & claim it on my insurance??

Bumper support brand new is like $60. Rest is a U-Pull It job. Only problem would be the SS lip I reckon.

Ahhh man, damn shame. She was lookin good, too.

It'll be hard to find the -right- parts... parts are easy, but that grille, and that lip, will be a little more expensive. Then getting them painted...

For comparison, I fixed my mate's VP for $120. That included two headlights, calais grille, correct-colour front bar, and front bar support.

I wouldnt bother getting a second hand re-enforcemant as brand new they are dirt cheap anyway.

But that grill should be fixable quite easy, just a bit of filler or fireglass. If not JC Spares sell them for like $120, so other places would be half that :p (They want $295 for an instrument cluster!)

just got under to have a suss, & missed aircon & radiator by mm! thank **** for that! brand new rad just before xmas!

Bumper will be salvage-able if I dont destroy it getting it off. All the mounts are still there they just popped off lucky! Grill is stuffed :( & half the SS lip is missing, I doubt that I could even find it if i went back to look, cus that would have been easier option just reglass the lip.

Just need to get someone over to give me a hand to unbolt that support, its bent right where the front bolt is on the passenger side so might be a little hard to get at :(

erm no I dont think they will, when my VKC bumper got 'parked' on by a taxi (I was not at fault) they wanted me to chip in some money to repaint it as the paint wasnt 'good'

yer i think thats right.. at work all that they paint is small areas using airbrush, being a dealership we just replace panels that unbolt, like the bars, bonnet and front guards. i suppose it depends on the level of your insurance and your insurer.. i rekn that if they cant match the paint theyd do a full respray as long as paint damage is part of the claim..
