Hey guys just a query what do you think is the best way to prime a fuel system so the car will start and run instantly?
The installation guide i got with my cam says to prime the fuel system and runs for 10 minutes above 1200rpm. I think i got the oil pressure and priming the oil pump and lifters figured out. My Idea was to suck fuel into the line right up to the fuel and maybe fill the pipe from pump to carby then use areostart in the carby to keep it running until it can run by itself sound ok?

    Cheers Pub

Priming the fuel system on a carby car is as simple as filling up the fuel bowl on the carby. You can suck fuel up if you want, but there should be enough fuel in the bowl to keep it running long enough for the pump to get the fuel up.

Unscrew the 6 screws on top of the carby and pour fuel into the bowl where the float is. Or you could undo the fuel line and using a small hose and funnel pour it in through there until it stops.

You could always use fuel in an atomiser bottle sprayed intot he carb till the fuel system cuts in or aero start.

    cheers
