It was raining today and after driving about 10 klms the engine just stalled and no spluttering or any prior sign of a problem it just stopped so I'm thinking the fuel guage is faulty so I fed her 20lts jsut to make sure it wasnt out of fuel and the guage seems to be fine.
AQfter looking around the engine for loose wires we found it had the wire disconnected from the oil sensor and it's now been repaired and since the battery was 3 years old I've also replaced that.
Now after replacing the battery it fired up straight away and ran normal for about 10 seconds and then stalled and after about a minute of trying to start the engine it fired up again so I gave it some gas and it ran for 20 seconds and now it wont fire again.

Update: I've been inside for an hour and went out to see if she'd start but she still won't fire, its just like the old saying, if it's got tits or wheels it's going to eventually give you trouble.

Update: I've been able to get it booked in at our Holden dealership for the repairs next Friday and its being tilt tray trucked over on Wednesday for $90.00, will keep everyone posted with what the problem is.

It turns out to be a faulty coil.
