Hey mate...

i had a simmilar problem...

idd deffenently say it would be your alternator..
but before you change that because its a bit expensive... rip out the Regulator behind the alternator and you should see 2 tooth like bushes and you would be able to tell if they are worn bacause they would be very short... the problem would be that the bushes are not making contact to charge...

a regulator will set you back about $50 from Repco.. i think.. i replaced mine not to long ago and my alterator is fine..

good luck mate.. hope i was some help

b4 u go rippin out the alternator do a few checks first.
Check 2 c if its charging.
Check the charge wire.
Check battery and make sure the acid levels r good.
Make sure all lights r off (check boot light)
Then of ur 100% sure its the alternator, take it out and check the bushes on the back
