just a quik question with the harmonic balancers on the v6 (vr) mine had no indication that it was going to spit chucnks off rubber out of it until i got home today.. now i cant afford to fix it for a while, but is there any better harmonic balancers for the commys other then genuine? why would they just fail all of a sudden?

cheers

How many kays has it done????? Have you ever had a leaking front crank seal? That can eat into rubber over time. If not the rubber just perishes over time.

It is easy to put a new CAS in whilst the HB is off but thats up to you - no real reason, just convenience. HB replacement is once in a blue moon so there really is no need to worry about which is the absolute best IMO. (you probably wont own that car when next it fails)
