Problem with speedo, need help ASAP!!!

[Meant to be a manual]

I have a vr commodore, it was an auto but now has a manual gearbox. It's at the auto electricians and they have been at it all day, they can't figure out how to get the speedo working. Has anyone done this conversion and do they have an answer to this problem??? Because they can't find one.

when i changed my vn to manual the trans control fuse blew i replaced it and it worked straight away

speed sensor needs earth, 12v power and then signal back to computer. splice wire going to speedo into this wire from speed sensor.
computer needs to be a manual computer to read the signal.

I have a manual computer, but I haven't had it put in yet. Iv been told it's alot of work and I don't think I'll be able to afford it right now, is there any way I can do it with the auto computer?
