    Hi all

i have a problem, i have a standar holden vy ss cd player unit, and my 2 front speakers work but niether of the rear ones work, and i checked the speakers their prety much brand ne and i bought brand new speakers and you can tell there is electricity going through the wires as you hear a slight buzzin noise, but no sound comes out.

so the speakers are fine and the front speakers work perfectly but the rear nes dont work?

anyone know why? or what parts in the unit i need to replace to get it working thanks in advance

Sometimes it can be the obvious and it could be the fader. Especially when both dont work. Maybe check all your setting first. Then if your still having problems maybe try pulling the head unit out and doing i pop test on the speaker wires to make sure they are wired correctly. Not really that much can go wrong with stock units. So it might be a long shot. Let me know how you go mate. Cheers

Exactly what raZel said if you can pop or read speaker impedence at the radio plug and there are no shorts to earth then you definatly have a problem with the output of the head unit. The units output ic may need to be replaced, or the output transistors.
