vr berlina
hi, well i recently bought a 1994 vr berlina and i was told there were a few things wrong with it but i wasn't sure what. anyway i charged my battery because it was flat and when i went to turn it over it was just making a clicking noise and doesn't try turn over, im pretty sure the battery is screwed as the other day i tried another battery and it started up.

also the power steering fluid is leaking but i have no idea where and its starting to frustrate me, i think the power steering reservoir thing is cracked but i cant see it coming out of anywhere it just ends up over the side of the engine and on the ground

and lastly, the climate control doesn't blow air at all, after i turn it on it makes a swoosh noise and nothing happens. is it a fuse problem or the vents are blocked? im clueless

im more of a novice with engines and stuff so can someone help?

power steering is leaking from rear O ring seal. You can buy kits for $20 , but i wouldnt advise rebuilding it if you dont know mechanical stuff.

The other battery would have had some charge in it though, if it keeps happening I would look for a current leak at the alternator, its a common VR/VS fault and is easily fixed for little more than pocket change, As for the climate control, you said it's a Berlina that means you have the digital setup, You can access diagnostic mode on these but for the life of me I have forgotten how and have lost the PDF, have a search for "Climate contol diagnostic" but to be honest check the fuses and relays if you havn't allready.

Oh and goodluck with the Berlina, they are a nice car.
