Pete,
I will be staying naturally aspirated as a 3800 becomes a 6450cc when CAMS applies their multiplication factor and 6000cc is CAMS limit. You can compete in Formula libre against open wheelers if you want.

At the end of the day as long as it is competetive in your class and you have a ball doing it.
It certainly looks the goods.
Mine was 1240kg with a full tank.

Thanks for the kind words.
Had a shakedown run at Mt. Cotton about October last year, would have come second in class if I had been allowed to run in the correct class. Oakey Sprints was the first real run, battled for the lead in class all weekend on old worn out semi slicks, eventually came in third with 8/100 of a second separating the first 3 cars, 3000-4000cc. Mine was the fastest non turbo car. Next was Gatton Sprints, found out all about my suspension deficiencies. Next was a hillclimb, second in class between two BMW 325 3 litre turbos. After this event I discovered I was only getting 75% throttle, due to cable stretch, all fixed now. Nothing since due to lack of funds after the floods here and all the mines that I transport goods to being flooded. A couple of sprint meetings have been cancelled due to a lot of people being short of funds.
I have made a few changes to the car, rear springs replaced due to being to high, Selby springs now fitted in the rear. Front and rear adjustable sway bars. 17"x8" rims replaced with Simmons 3 piece 15"x8" V5's with new Toyo R888's. Short throw shifter, fixes the 2-3 change. Changes to exhaust.
Running Leyburn Sprints as long as my entry is accepted on 27-28 August and Pittsworth Sprints 2,3,& 4 September.

Another update, after an engine malfunction due to push rods being too long, expected the engine builder would have been awake to that, I have had to have the engine partially rebuilt. The engine suffered valve float at the 2 km long track at Norwell. I have now had the followers replaced with Comp Cams followers, shortened pushrods and Yella Terra roller rockers 1.8:1 ratio. The heads are VR heads, other than one bent valve the heads were ok. I now have 227.5 Horsepower or 170 Kw @ the wheels. Torque has gone from 256 ft/lb to 282.5 ft/lb.
See how it goes this year, the car is competitive in it's class.
