all is good, not stressing really
got pulled over by a bike officer heading home tonight

was nice to him and he was fair, while waiting for my drug test he had a look at my car,

questioned the rims and i said they were 18's he asked the tyre placard and i said that was 14"
he said fair enough......
i said too him under my impression the2" rule has be abolished to which he said yer

i was grinning on the inside ha

he checked the book on diameter and asked if i knew the size diffrence to which i said they were 5 or so mm bigger........
he checked and came up with 46mm.........i shat my dacks.
i question it and he double checked with me and he read the worng line......feww

popped the bonnet looked in the bay and all was fine,
walked to the drivers door and looked at my horn and asked if it worked
i said nah its disconnected,

so i ended up only getting defected for no horn working
so cop shop inspection..... nice and simple

was good copper, was talking too him about his bike and riding etc,
got 5 days too drive still also

chasing down a steering wheel now

Oh jesus, it was only the horn. Sounds like he was really looking hard to defect the vehicle. But fair enough horn must get fixed.

thats awesome at least its nothing major that will cause headaches. I was thinking soon as i saw the pic with the defect what the hell did they defect him for isnt everything brand new on that car???

well currently orgernising a steering wheel

quickly got a heads up on CT of someone who sold one
asked the new owner and currently working out a deal with him

possibly going to trade my calais tail light garnish plus 50 my way for it

its a blue berlina steering wheel too

if so ill head off and pick it up for elezibeth downs tonight

**** bro that sucks. None of my 3 VLs have had a working horn. My 1st berlinas horn was broken, my current berlina doesnt have any wiring for it and my wagon doesnt have a horn pad hahahah ****ing VLs.

well didnt get that steering wheel form up north
he sent a pic as i was just about to head and it was a vk or earlyer one :hmmm: bugga

lucky though i found one at u pull it, dark blue in colour and horn pad too
was the last car i looked in, my heart started racing when i saw it lol

got it off with out a puller luckly and paid 22 bucks for it
slight wear but looks pritty dam good now i cleaned it
whole of 10minutes and its in my car now, horn working and all :beer chug:

also out of that car there was a mint condition wiper switch block, allthe letters where still white and clear,
so gained that also
but wasnt a berlina so dont have the demister one

dash is almost all back to stock :clap:


prob head down to the police station later today to get it cleared, will take my mum with me for a extra safty feature lol
if she wasnt scared of driving it i would of got her too take it down :idea:
