Pros and cons of tuner pro vs kalmaker

Sorry of this is a silly question but I don't know much about tuning

Ok so who can shed some light on the differences and pros and cons between tuning a delco ecu in a VS v8 with tuner pro and kalmaker ??

Tunerpro is cheaper and nicer interface that works on late model laptops kalmaker expensive and is old dos based software that only works on old laptops.both just as effective for tuning

old tune is done with tuner pro

New tuner uses kalmaker so making the switch

Yes it does.

It links to the car in true real time. Load points can be held on a dyno to target true teak torque no problem

I see a couple company's make wiring harness to use a LS ecu in 5L

I know I can get one of these for $1200 then need a thing to make tacho work and LS coil and few sensors and blah blah blah

Just wondering is there any real gains from this

Not just the fact that nearly everone has the soft ware to tune but can it be tuned better or is kalmaker more then sufficent with the right person at the key board ??

And when doin this does that change it to obd2 from the aldl ??

Reason for that question is my zeitronics data logger can be plugged into obd2 for ever sensor signal to be data logged and displayed on it's touch screen and not just the sensors I have wires into it

Pretty sure that Castle Hill Exhausts (site sponsor) were selling these, couldn't hurt to ask them about the pros and cons. LS1 ECU is far more advanced than the old VN one, and can do more.
