Firstly have read a lot of this thread(god knows why, maybe to try to get a grip on a younger persons mentality)...Nothing personal mate but this "car" is not a ricer its a lemon..
Unbelievable waste of time and money..good luck with it though I mean but maybe you will learn from this..maybe not.

A lemon it may be, but he has fun with it, enjoys working on it and learns on the way. everybody has had a lemon at some point and tried to save it and i think it's a good thing for everyone to have...tbh if you haven't had a lemon at some point you aren't a real car enthusiast :p

What a load of ****, some of us are just more careful (or are just lucky) when chosing cars. Although wraith has one sitting in the driveway lmao.

Frogsta does seem to enjoy it, although I wonder if he ever feels like just torching it :p

Back when i got the car I knew barely anything or turbos and how they worked - apart from the part where they work from the exhaust, I did bring two of my friends with me to look at the car as to be honest I had no idea what to look for really, my commy was stuffed so wanted a new car fairly soon. I have been annoyed with the car but it doesn't need to be running unlike my commodore did so in reality thought of torching that more often lol. But I have had plenty of fun in this car regardless and have also learnt a lot since I got it, and actually done some hands on stuff. The biggest thing I did to my commy was put a larger throttle body on it

Turns out we had a little bit of a leak in the intercooler piping where I removed the BoV, all sorted now. Idle is great and it is pulling hard. Just need to flush the coolant and give it a good service, it's got new spark plugs as of yesterday. Still did a decent skid (I had to, I'm sorry)
There's pictures and a video but not normally allowed on the forums I believe

Hahaha that would be pretty awesome, ironic my mate said to install a roll cage
It is back on the road and pretty much perfectly drivable. My mate says the tune is meant to suit an exhaust with no cat and my clutch wouldn't bleed properly (master or slave cylinder stuffed?).

no offense mate, but this is probably the biggest unnecessary arsehole comment i have ever read on JC. dafuqs up your nose?

froggy: good work buddy. for your first engine swap, an SR can be really tricky and you done it mate! good work, bet youre wrapped.

but the skid pics... really just keep those to yourself. theyre not impressive and cops will also love seeing the evidence of you destroying a public road.
