Hi All
Long time no see. Recently got myself a Mazda 6 MPS, nice big brother to our Turbo Diesel Mazda 3. Same colour as well, quite torquey for a 4 cylinder I thought. Car is currently fully stock, it does have one of the generic aftermarket chinese headunit addon things that are around on eBay, and works surprisingly well. Also connected to a reverse camera with LEDs which comes in handy, actually had to use them at one point. Anyway, generic template time:

Model: 2007 Mazda 6 MPS

Colour: Black

Bodykit: 6MPS Bodykit - Very Subtle

Engine Type: 2.3L Turbo MZR DISI Engine

Engine Mods: Short Ram Intake and Turbo Inlet Pipe, Turbosmart Dual Port BoV, JBR Engine Mounts, HDi Front Mount Intercooler, De-Cat exhaust

Gearbox: 6 Speed Manual & AWD

Brakes: Stock

Suspension: Stock

Wheel/Tyres: 18" RX8 rims with shitty black paint - 235/40R18 Bridgestone Potenza RE003s

Stereo: Aftermarket chinese ebay headunit addon thing with GPS/USB input and Bluetooth, 2 x 12" Alpine Type R Subs with 1000w mono amp

EDITING IN PICS CAUSE PHOTOBUCKET IS A POS

Cheers Kyle

Pics don't work for me either :(

But one the guys here at work has one of these, and has done a few mods to it, goes pretty well.
Also: 20" CX9 rims - look into it.

Yeah, have been told on another forum pictures don't work, weird for me I can see them. Dropbox is annoying, will use photobucket as per usual and edit the first post. 20" CX9 rims hey, will have a look. Also I'm guessing the last picture of exhaust did work?

edit; have edited the pictures.

Exhaust one worked oddly enough. I would look at bracing as well. Eliminates all the usual issues they have.

Hey Frogsta,

still got the 180 or did that go too ?

i was actually looking into these recently but decided on something else, thinking about posting it up but not sure hwo much hate i'll get :p

the mazda 3 mps are actually faster than M5 Beamers from 80-120 :p they're pretty impressive.

also have seen with these the gearbox mount seems to flog out! so be careful of that.

Considering an MPS can't pull away from an old 540, I doubt it'd take a M5.

Probably should have specified 4th gear.

80-120 km/h in 4th gear
4,3 s - Mazda3 MPS [2006, 260 hp, Sport Auto]
4,3 s - Dodge Viper SRT-10 [2005, 506 hp, Sport Auto]
4,4 s - Subaru Impreza WRX STi [2006, 280 hp, Sport Auto]
4,5 s - Audi RS4 Avant [2000, 380 hp, Sport Auto]
4,5 s - Jaguar XKR [2006, 416 hp, Sport Auto]
4,5 s - Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG [2004, 612 hp, Sport Auto]
4,6 s - Porsche 996 GT3 RS [2004, 381 hp, Sport Auto]
4,6 s - BMW M6 Cabriolet [2006, 507 hp, Sport Auto]

Who would take off from 4th gear @ 80km/h any real world situation, I'm so confused by those figures lol
