You had SL springs in to start with ??
The so called SL springs or normal height springs ??
Your car still have a jack under it ??
You put V8 SL springs in a V6 ??
You got the springs mixed up and put the normal springs back in ??
and I could keep going . . . . .

What were the original springs in it? What is the part no for ur new springs?

There has been a very very few that the spring was labeled incorrectly, but have only heard of 2 occurrences.

So were mine. Std compared to FE2.

4mm only difference in height but the FE2 are a higher rate so the shorter srping compresses less.

As woteva mentioned could be a number of things.

Original springs were sagged
Original springs has been cut
etc

Youve only gotta look at county pack (V5W) front springs, and compare their free length to standard (STD) front springs. The free length of the country pack front springs is 363mm. And the standard front spring free length is 395mm, but the standard springs sit lower than the country pack springs. You cant really tell how high/low they'll sit until the cars weight is on them. The (FE2) sports pack springs are 315mm free length.
