So i want to get a cam done on the ecotec and i was wondering on what you guys think of prices and fittings.

has all the usual bolt on mods: CIA, ported TB, 2.5 Extractors ect

Ive been quoted 610 for a custom grind stage 2 cam (custom grind because i have 1.95 roller rockers) 800 for instalation and some unknown figure for the dyno tune afterwards.
are these prices good or am i being ripped off, it all seems a bit high to me.

don't tell me to get a V8 this is the only way i could get power on my P's :)

I'd say that's about right. I paid a bit less for both parts and labour, but that was for a 2nd hand cam, pushrods & memcal and a good country mechanic

We can supply you the same cam from crow for $535, as we're distributors for them :)

We can also supply you with the valve springs and retainers to suit if need be :)

Installation is a fair price, in regards to a custom tune it's depends on where you go for it as it can vary to the tune of a few hundred.

Why not put stock rockers on, get an off-the-shelf grind, and sell the 1.95s for some extra cash?

Because the roller rockers provide more advantages than just having a higher ratio. They are stronger and wear less than stock rockers without roller tips in them. Cam makers reconmend roller rockers with a cam to reduce the risk of rocker failure.

thats true, but having such a high rate ratio limits his choice of camshafts.
