    vf v6 storm ute
I recently purchased a VF Storm V6 ute. I want to put a V8 in because i just want one.
The only reason i bought the V6 was because the missus paid for it. She thinks i will kill myself in a V8. Not gunna happen.
Does anyone know how much it would cost and is it feasible to do this.

Oh, and why are you so sure you can't die in a V8?

Peter Brock wasn't even driving a V8... Remember?

Just trade it on a V8. See if they'll throw in a set of balls for free.

haha, can hear the whip crack from here!
It would be cheaper to sell your v6 and upgrade to v8 than it would be to change engines and everything that comes with it.
And Im pretty sure it would also be bye bye new car warranty!

The engine alone would be more than $10K at a guess and that's before we include labour and tuning. I was quoted $3k for labour on a VX conversion, and that is a much simpler car that mechanic's are much more familiar with. If you wanted a V8 you should've waited and got one. now you are stuck with a V6.

Just trade it for a V8 and tell the missus it's a V6.

She probably won't know any better...

And you are wanting to do this without your missus knowing?

"I just took it in for a service and they added 2 cylinders, honest".

Reminds me of a chat I had with my mechanic. He said he was happy to lie and write on the receipt that the diff needs replacing when I told him the missus was against it.

Also, are you still in the cooling of period? Take it back, buy the V8 model and put V6 badges on it.

    That'd actually be fairly original.

Supercharged V8 sleeper with V6 ecotec badges. I like it!

No cooling off periods with cars. Once the paperwork is signed and accepted by the dealer, you own the car. Can't back out.

I actually kind of want to put the Ecotec badges I have on my VUSS. then laugh next time that muppet with the VP V6 wagon with HSV badges on it challenges me...
