I went and saw it today, i thought it was a good action movie, not a great plot, nor ending but an enjoyable movie. What do you think of it for those that have seen it?
Rubbish. I saw no Money Penny or Q or "Bond. James Bond". I've got every Bond movie at home and have seen them all numerous times and fancy myself as a bit of a Bond fanatic (that's my pickup line, works everytime). This did not measure up. Casino Royale wasn't bad, but this came nowhere near. T'was an abomination. First thing I did when I got home was put Goldfinger on. And made sweet love to my hand. My right hand got the best 4 seconds of its life.
yeh i saw it about 3 or so days ago.....i loved it awesome movie, gd action like always. loved the vanquish although didnt last long got all smashed up
yeah i own them all also, but i understand why they have changed the character, theyve made bond more "human" he gets hurt, he isnt invincible etc, and remember this is still meant to be before dr no, And Q wasnt introduced until from russia with love. you saw no M? she was a major character.
Like shounak i'm a huge bond fan and have all the movies. Am yet to see this one but will buy it on blu ray when it comes available. Doesn't matter how good it is, no one is as good as Sean Connery in the role and never will be.
Seen it yesterday. Am very happy with the action and i like this bond he is different, More hard arsed brutal with less throw away lines and gadgets. It's more on him and his work. He is also vulnerable from the loss of love. They also say he is the closest to what ian Fleming bond really is. That and it's modern Bond. When the movie ended i was thinking it reminded me off Matrix reloaded. It cut off and you know that revolutions is coming out just after. But who knows when the next is out 1-2 years ?. Casino royal and quantum of solace are like one large movie cut in half. Very eay to watch back to back. So at a guess the 3rd or 23rd bond i think we will be up to will continue on from Quantum of solace.
well if they follow the pattern they have since the start of the bond franchise, they release a movie every 2 years
I didn't read the thread properly. I think I started to read a spoiler so I bailed. Shounaks 4 seconds of fury was quite a spoiler though. I will probably see it on the weekend, the last bond was fantastic. Bond is about the Women, the Cars (and chases) and the gadgets. Casino Royale had the Women, The Cars and not so much the gadgets. But I do like what they've done, the Pierce Brosnan 007's were the worst ever.
Have not seen it yet - How can a Bond movie be disapointing? It's birds, cars, bangs, guns, n gadgets. All good Some times I think we can expect too much....
Exactly my opinion, just disappointed about the "Bond, James Bond" being cut out from all future movies...Did read about it a few months ago, but forget why they cut it out The was BORING :| and I was looking forward to watching it, without sleeping...
Mate of mine said they'd cut out all the trademark Bond gadgets too? So basically it's just a guy running around shooting/shagging people? We've already got plenty of movies like that - bring back the real Bond I say! On the Indiana Jones front, I suggest everyone should watch this episode of Southpark MrTwig's net 1208 - The China Probrem this is EXACTLY how I felt after watching that movie...
