Question about temperature sensor coolant and gauge sender temperature

hi all,

Have to replace temperature sensor coolant I have new one and I am wonder about the gauge sender temperature. I look for ebay and there only available on V8? mine is VR V6 stato.

Also where are both sensor and sender location and any idea about get new gauge sender temperature?

Any help is really appreciate, Cheers

Ok, so the picture I put red circle on engine bay and is this correct place that where Ecu/Gauge sensor sit? Where can I get new one aftermarket in auto shop and what it called.

Check out the attached diagram for names and locations. You can purchase sensors at Holden or other outlets such as Repco, Bursons etc.

Yes.

Some people say its behind the alternator for the gauge sensor location
and also coolant sensor temperature?

Yes.

The gauge sender has a single wire to it that slides over a 'T' shaped pin. The sensor for the PCM (ECU) has two wires and a 'U' shaped spring clip that retains it on the sensor.
