question on rear shockes!

    hey i have a vt 200 sereies 2 acclaim, today decided to change my rear brakes and as taking my rear tyres of i noticed my back rear shockers are leaking like a grease or oil which is from top to bottom, i cleaned them on outside with a rag and notied there gmh monroe so i was wondering there prob never changed and original my question is does that happen worn they need to be replaced like do they leake? I jumped on ebay and can get 2 as new shockers that are genuine surplus stock the guy states they are in new condition fe2 suspension shokes for 77 buks the pair i thought thats a good deal?

    The stock Holden shocks will sag over time. Especially if your car is lowered. You can just pop them out and replace them with some new ones. I did it on my VX wagon about 2 months ago. It's as easy as undoing about 5 nuts at the top and the 1 big one at the bottom and then putting the new ones in. You will feel a more firmer ride on gas shocks too and less arse squat on takeoff.
