no there are lots of posts but just trying to sum it all
i dont care about looks at all.
should i take engine cover off?
- will it allow the bonnet to get too hot and damage my paint
- does it trap heat ie engine is hotter
i have the MACE cold air intake and i dont have the lid on the box, so will taking the engine cover off mean that my pod can suck in more hot air as the engine cover usually holds it away from the pod?
cheers,

Without having the lid on the box of the MACE CAI you aren't much better off than anyone just running a pod alone.

Doesn't matter a whole lot of the engine cover is on or off, I had mine off for months but put it back on recently. I'll probably take it off again one day if I ever get around to polishing the plenum lid.

Hey,

For what its worth i have not had mine on for about 12months, simple reason it was broken and i just never bothered to replace it.
I did not notice any difference and it did not affect the bonnet paint.
