Brought a mail order mafless from ebay, seems to be making the car blow abit of black smoke. anyways can i get a dyno place to do a tune on to what has already been programed to the PCM without losing the mafless tune ?
a tune is gonna cost $400-$600
But a full mafless tune was gonna set me back $1200
Thats why i thought it might be cheaper to buy somthing already mafless then get it touched up later on

    carless for now
if you take it to another shop they will most likely have to re do the mafless tune again

The tune will probably be locked. This will mean sending your computer away and getting it unlocked and reset. Then getting it retuned. Your car is blowing black smoke because Mail-Order tunes are rubbish. They chuck in too much fuel, to make it safe so you dont blow up your motor, and the timing is also very conservative.

Sure you get power increase, and the benefit of running mafless, but now you have to spend MORE money to get it tuned right.
