Hi all,
Where do I buy Quick release PCV hose line connections and I think they call them barbs?
I would like to fit this Clean-Air Oil Separator - Elite Engineering.
Run your mouse over the link. Like the blue one in No.4 closeup
Instead of having a hose clamp I want to release the hose from the barb piece so I just press the connection and it will release.
So oil separator can be removed and cleaned (at oil changes).
Cheers Pete

You could probably use high flow airline fittings. Would do the job perfectly and you can get them at most hardware joints. Might not be the neatest looking things though..

Try a wreckers they might be able to sell you PVC hose that you can carefully cut the hard plastic pipe away from the fitting and then attach the new hose to the fitting.

When I fitted my OTR I did a similar thing to the breather, I cut the hard plastic pipe off the fitting and used a stainless hose clamp that was designed to be used with 13mm poly pipe, these are a squeeze to lock clamp and almost look like they could be a factory fitted clamp.
Hope this helps.

Tony.

How did you go with obtaining the plastic quick connecter?

I changed the Alternator on my VE on the weekend,
so I had to remove the OEM Air Intake chamber/plenum [whatever ppl call it] on the throttle body,
and the plastic sides [release ring] of the PCV Pipe [quick connect] just broke off on one side,
obviously due to age and heat.

Did you ever remedy/fix, or find a replacement for it ?

Sorry just seen this.
Ring Holden Dealer as far as I know you have to get the whole part.
I just used the rubber pipe they gave me. This was for the oil seperator.
