My friend crashed my car a little bit, going too fast on the touge and nudged a barrier. It's not the worst thing in the world but damn its annoying, I'd only had the car back together for 2 days and I'd just painted the car. My friend is a very experienced driver, coming from a racing family and a go-karting background, having done countless track days and advanced driving courses. I guess that a mixture of adrenaline and not knowing the car ended up with this result. My friend is paying for the damage and we are going to the wreckers on Tuesday to buy:
Front bar (have to repaint black)
Front reo
Front left headlight
Fill panel
Front left guard (will have to paint side strip black)

So with a bit of luck it will be under $300 and I'll have it all back together / painted on Tuesday. Overall, not a very bad accident but still quite upsetting.

On a slightly lighter note, I ordered these 78mm extended front wheel studs

Anticipating a 5mm slip on spacer for the front.

That sucks mate, that really sucks!!
I bet you told the friend to tone it down a level, if he's ever allowed to drive your car again :)

On a better note, I have installed the charger, although it is in need of a tune desperately!!

So since your car is driving apart from the damage (that will be fixed very soon) and mine is nearly drivable, I take it Sutton road is not far away for the both of us?

Sutton road indeed is in order!
Bit of an update, I've got a new front end which is in ok condition, just need to rub it back and straighten it up which I have started doing now. Also having a machine shop in Fyshwick make me up some top hat adapters so I can run my new HSD HR coilovers in the rear, these should be done Monday/Tuesday this week. All of this is preparing for Skidpan drift on March 31st and an Initial Drift day at Wakefield on April 9th. Turbo conversion should be started/finished by these days.

I had some top hat adapters made up so I can run s13 coilover (2 stud top hat) into my r31 rear (3 stud top hat) a lot of people redrill the top of the strut tower, this isn't the best option.
So..
Top had adapters are all finished, I've very very happy with the quality of these and the level of skill showed. They are made from 25mm solid mild steel and have 12x1.25 wheel studs pressed into them, they are strong as anything, this is much safer than drilling strut tops I feel. I'm very very happy! :D

Note the bevelled edge on the underside to accommodate for the style of the HSD top hat.

Thanks for looking.

Hey Anthony,
Do you have any places for the skidpan on the 31st? If not I will happily come out and watch.

Braided oil feed/water feed/first half of water return line ordered and paid for, just need to get a 3/4" BSP fitting for the oil return on the block and all that stuff is ready. Now just need sort out the colside intercooler piping and probably a new intercooler core, more than likely will buy a cheapie off eBay or SAU for $150 delivered - should be fine for my needs. Hope for the turbo setup to be complete before my April 9 drift day.

I bought some more bolts today, for the turbo to dump and turbo to manifold :) so everything is starting to take shape. Just waiting on my oil/water lines to arrive then I will strip off the N/A gear and start installing the turbo gear. I still need to finishing cleaning up the casting marks on my new manifold, paint it and install the turbo injectors, then I can just switch the manifolds over (more or less). May as well paint my spare rocker cover while I'm at it too.
Pictures of the turbo + manifold + front pipe dummied up - front pipe is a 3" press bend, I know mandrel is better but for my setup this is still going to flow more than plenty, goes down to 2.75" in the bends.

Picked up a 3/4" BSP barb fitting for the oil return into the block, and also a 3/8" T piece to run from the braided water return line, around the otherside of the engine to near the intake where I'll splice it in. All coming together!!
