So picked this up yesterday and thought I'd start a thread on here for it.

    Make: Nissan
    Model: R34 Skyline
    Year: 1999
    Kilometers: 116000

    Modifications:

    Immobilizer and Alarm
    BOV
Stereo (pioneers speakers and sub all running through amps) (dont know whole heap about stereos but it sounds good)

    Planned Mods

Needs new front rotors and pads
    Fix the aircon
Front bumper is a bit of a mess on the right hand side as the bloke hit a wallaby the week before i bought it. No biggie really just need a new bumper and get it sprayed.

In the future ill be doing a fair bit more to it but happy to leave it as is for now.

As in what was the guy asking or how much I paid? Most people advertising think they are sitting on a gold mine really so your best bet is to be patient and just wait for a good deal to come up. This one was on the market for about 3 months before i even went and looked at it, most likely cause of how much he wanted.
LOL I was hoping the lack of cannon would help it avoid the rice tag. As for the drifting i havent tried. Coming from a v6 commodore I'm happy to find out how it handles before putting it sideways. Hopefully get it out to a track sometime around june and find out what i can do.

First thing will be coilovers and possibly a brake upgrade. Then wheels. Still got stock exhaust so I'll need to fix that and then get the front mount on there. Not to worried about upping the boost at the moment especially with the stock turbo.

Glad you're changing the wheels cause they kind of ruin the whole car.

Paid 14k for this one. The bloke wanted 20. That should give you some idea lol.

Thats the worst part about looking for skylines. Seeing all the GTRs for sale and thinking if I can just win lotto tomorrow lol.

    Nice, clean example mate!
What sort of rotors/pads are you putting on the front?

Just to get the ball rolling, DBA 4000 rotors and QFM A1RM / Comp 9 or PMU Club pads.
What sort of driving will you be doing?

Well its a daily so that and then hopefully a few track days. Sounds like a good start. I'll have a look at prices and so forth. Was defintely thinking dba though.

Also does anyone know what the "name" of the front bar is. I know its the Nismo bar but I cannot for the life of me find one that has the indicators and the foglight mounts in them. The only one I can find has a single position for the indicator and thats it.

This is one i found on ebay but as i said no hole for the foglights

Stay away from ebay kits, usually the fitment and quality is always terrible. If you look deeper into the description it says that it is a Nismo 'style' front bar, meaning not genuine.

Yeah not going near a fibreglass one. Just showing the only kind i could find for sale. Might just have to fix the front bar for now with some fibreglass and then hopefully find a genuine one come up for sale.
From what i can tell the foglights are just a cutout made into the front bumper with the holder covering up the cut.

Small update: got it serviced so all oils, coolant, brake and clutch fluid are changed out for brand new stuff. Also got the front brakes machined. Car feels a lot better now.

Also finally found a new front bar through import monster down in melbourne so now i need to somehow get the cash to get it resprayed black.

Will be getting a brake upgrade (larger disk but keeping factory caliper) once i get new wheels which is why i just got them machined for $50.

Went for a lap around the cokies carpark the other day. This car could look so much better with better wheels.
What's the wheel stud PCD on these? To bad my te37s don't fit.

Yeah the wheels aren't the best that's for sure but i went broke buying this thing so they have to wait :( that and the shocks are rooted in the rear and the fronts aren't spectacular so it'll be coilovers and then wheels

PCS is 5x114.3 so yeah they won't fit unfortunately... Am currently thinking of getting these at the moment with probably 8s in the front and 9s in the rear

They are alright. But don't put the sticker on the spoke.
    How much are they?
Should go as wide as possible. I'm sure you can get more than 9" on the rear. Even that on the front?

Yeah not a fan of stickers on spokes lol. Haven't got a price yet cause regardless of what it is I can't buy them yet so just looking for a nice wheel really. Was thinking 8.5s on the front and 9.5s on the rear as another option but all depends on how the offset suits the car. There isn't much of a lip to roll either so can't go anything ridiculous seeing as its a daily.

Pfft. Wait till you see mine. Then you'll have no excuses for not doing something to a daily.
I should get mine back in a fortnight now. Finally.
Just waiting on a fuel system and tune. Then maybe a sunroof while its up in that direction.
