    Hey guys

I had to have my radiator replaced today as my radiator core was leaking and making the car overheat... I was just wondering, what would cause the core to leak?? The radiator, second hand, was put in only a few months back, spankin condition and wasn't leaking at the time. Rust or corrosion can be ruled out cause I have always kept the coolant at the right levels and used the right type also.

    Any ideas??

Depends where the leak was i guess.... do you still have the leaky old one sitting around? If you do look for dried deposits or drip marks from where the leak was, that may give you an idea of the problem...

From the central core? Or from the side tanks? The tanks are plastic and split easily.

Well there were rust marks on the centre of the radiator which tells me the centre core was leaking also... But the side closest to the battery was ****ing out ****house on the sides.

Ah well. I have a new radiator now and dayyyyyyyyyyyum its the shiniest thing in my bay!!!
