Dont think so. Mackay is definitely OEM for many VF hoses (not sure about all of them).

That being said, I would buy whichever of Mackay/Gates is the cheapest.

I have purchased both brands over the years,

Mackay did most of the Hoses,
But I have bought some Gates hoses that had OEM parts #’s on them in the past.

I normally buy Adrad radiators from my local radiator supply store. A lot cheaper than OEM (I just paid about $300 for a new radiator for my SSV) and supports a local business.

There are some good aftermarket radiators around. There's probably some shockers out there as well. The original hoses on my car were rubbish by 100,000km. Soft as butter and flat as a pancake.
I buy Mackay hoses if I can find them.

Gates was the OEM Supplier, and they [Holden] just re-printed / re-labeled them with their Part #'s.

IMHO, they are the best, and always fit correctly.
I always use Gates Hoses on all our cars, never had a problem.
