2015 Vf sv6 storm Ute
I recently bought a 2015 VF Ute. When I picked it up in Sydney the radio wasn’t great and was fading in and out as if the aerial wasn’t connected. Bye the time I got home (Port Macquarie) it wouldn’t tune on anything, am or fm. I can listen to radio through Bluetooth from my phone but it is a pain to connect every time I start the car.
What type of cabling/ connection is there from the unit to the aerial.? Is it easy to get to?
The last radio I had with this problem was in my GTR Torana when I was an apprentice!! The coaxial cable kept falling out of the back of the radio. When I think back the cagey old guy I bought the VF from had the sat nav on and no radio when I took it for a test drive, you live and learn.
Any help would be greatly appreciated .
PS, I’ve seen the thread on here about removing the head unit, but can’t see any coax in the pics.
Cheers.
