Hey guys. Was driving my car round with the radio on (Not loud at all)
When i went to turn off the heater the radio stopped working. i checked the fuse for it and sure enough it was blown. I put a new one in and again it popped
just wondering where there could be a short circuit on the radio or how i should go about finding it.

I have been doing radiator work if thats at all related.

    Thanks

You'll have to remove the headunit and have a look see behind.
See if any wires are touching.

    Aftermarket or factory?
    Any dodgy wiring been done?

It's factory, I've hooked a a sub/amp to it but thy was months ago. Diagnosed that te short is definitely from
    Fuse to radio.

Do they share a fuse or did you run the amp through the heater fuse?

I'd be thinking it shorting out some where behind the heater control panel/stereo as mentioned above then. Pull it out and have a poke around.

So you are running an amp, it may have sorted anywhere along the REM wire

Would that really cause the fuse under the dash to blow though and not the one on the amp or h/u itself?

I dont know to be honest, but it might pay to check that if you can find the short between the stereo and the fuse. I only suggested it because alot of people ( including myself ) wire the REM wire on to the ACC wire going into the HU.

Found it, remote wire was pinched against some metal behind the H/U
Put all new wire in and put the part that goes past the same point in a little plastic tube thingo. No idea what they are called
    This stuff
